Rustic Cedar Log Candle Holders

Hey y'all!  Here is one of our newest, homemade products that we offering from our farm!  It is now available in our Etsy shop so please go by and check it out along with some of our other new products.

I (Alice) absolutely love decorating for fall and these look awesome for a rustic style, themed decor. I have a couple of them on my counter by the kitchen window and they are beautiful!  The Aromatic Eastern Red Cedar logs were all harvested locally.  They would also be great for rustic weddings, showers, or any other event as well to add just the right touch of nature or country, rustic flare.

These cedar tea light log candle holders are each made to order and may slightly vary from the ones pictured; due to the difference in character from tree to tree.

Also, if you are interested in any custom orders, please contact us and we'll be glad to talk with you.

How To Make Roasted Pumpkin Seeds

Fall is here and with it comes lots of fun stuff like.... pumpkins!
One of the funnest snacks we've made lately was roasted
pumpkin seeds!  They were delicious!!!  We hope to show you
here, through informative pictures, how we did it.

 You start with, of course, a pumpkin;
we used a fresh one that a friend had given Gavin.

Scoop all the inside out into a bowl
or straight into the colander to be washed.

Clean of all the seeds 'til they're
nice and shiny white.
At this point you'll want to season them.
We used:
Butter
Salt
Garlic Powder
and Creole Seasoning

We cooked over an open flame, but you can just
as well do it in an oven if you'd like.
Cook 'em 'til they're brown and crispy.

 Enjoy!

Here is a video tutorial from our YouTube channel on how we did it.
Hope y'all like it. :)

Thanks for stopping by!  Be sure to check out our Etsy shop
Also Alice's blog Whatsoever Things Are Lovely is up and running; still
far from being setup all the way, but y'all should go ahead and
check it out (more to come about that later).

Hope y'all are having a wonderful fall and have a great Thanksgiving too!

"Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks, for this is the will
of God in Christ Jesus concerning you."  1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

What are you thankful for?

All Natural Beeswax Lip Balm from "Southern Mountain Scents" / Our Newest Product!

Southern Mountain Scents Natural Homemade Beeswax Lip Balm 3 pack

We are so excited to announce our newest product from Southern Mountain Scents.  Check it out by clicking on the text above and it will take you directly to our Etsy shop.

When Alice was fourteen, she started Southern Mountain Scents as an all natural health and beauty business where she handmade a line of many different products such as old-fashioned lye soap, lotions, shampoos, scrubs, conditioners, perfumes, lip balm, and also candles.  Now we are both starting to put these products online and we are so excited to finally make one of our most popular products available in our Etsy shop.  On our farm, as y'all know, we keep honeybees and all of the products using beeswax come directly from our own hives.

These all natural beeswax lip balms have a calming, fresh, and sweet scent of honey that is naturally in the beeswax.  The other ingredients also include almond oil, aloe vera, and vitamin E; adding even more healing qualities to help chapped skin during the dry winter months or all year round.

Thanks so much for stopping by and be sure to click on the links above and below and see the other items in our store.  We'll be adding tons more in the future so check back often! :)

We also offer it in Peppermint flavor, which has been a great favorite by all who have used it!
